The City of Glendale is proud to announce its selection as a finalist in the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation’s (LAEDC) esteemed EDDY Awards. Glendale has been recognized for its outstanding commitment to being a business-friendly city, highlighting its innovative programs that prioritize equity, sustainability, and resilience. The LAEDC named Glendale as one of the five finalists, alongside Carson, Long Beach, Norwalk, and Torrance. All finalists will be honored with a plaque and scroll from Los Angeles County as a celebration of their dedication to providing business resiliency resources and assistance.

The LAEDC is a non-profit organization established in 1981 by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. Its mission is to attract and grow new businesses in the region while stimulating job creation. The EDDY Awards support this mission by recognizing economic development professionals who contribute to reinventing the local economy. These awards aim to advance growth, prosperity, equity, and inclusion in the diverse business communities of Los Angeles County. The winners of the “Most Business-Friendly City” award will be announced at the 2023 EDDY Awards gala, which will be held on November 8th at SoFi Stadium. Over 600 leaders from the business, government, civic, and educational sectors are expected to attend the event.
