The American Legion Post 43 in Hollywood is hosting a resource connection event on Wednesday, August 30 to help veterans affected by the ongoing strike in the entertainment industry. Nonprofit organizations have teamed up with American Legion 43 to ensure that veterans, regardless of union affiliation, have access to every resource they need. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and all veterans and their families are invited to attend.
During the event, veterans and their families will have the opportunity to connect with nonprofits that can assist them in various areas. These include legal aid, mental health support, food benefits, and access to state and federal assistance. In addition, haircuts will be provided for those in need. The event is completely free and attendees will be provided with a light breakfast, coffee, and drinks. Lunch will also be provided by the Pan City Grill between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.
Parking for the event is free and available at the Hollywood Bowl Parking Lot D, conveniently located across the street from the American Legion Post 43 building. This event aims to ensure that America’s veterans have immediate access to all the resources they require.
