“Missouri Governor Signs Show Mo Act into Law, Boosting Entertainment Industry with Tax Incentives”
Point 1: The Show Mo Act, signed into law by Governor Mike Parson at Gateway Studios in Chesterfield, will provide tax credits to entertainment companies that choose to perform, make movies or shows, or build studios in Missouri. This legislation, which has been in the making for nearly a decade, aims to support the entertainment industry and create new high-paying jobs in the state.
Point 2: Gateway Studios CEO Trey Kerr is excited about the potential of the new law to rebuild the entertainment industry in Missouri. The production campus in Chesterfield will feature three buildings designed for big-name artists to practice and design next-level concerts, along with a hotel. Artists taking advantage of the tax incentives will be required to perform two concerts in the state, ensuring that money circulates back into the community.
