Aussie Mum’s Terrifying Discovery After Daughter Received UberEats from Stranger
A mum from Queensland, Beki Giunta, recently made a terrifying discovery after her teenage daughter received an UberEats delivery from a stranger she met online. This discovery has left her family haunted for weeks.
Giunta uncovered a disturbing trend in which strangers groom kids on social media by encouraging them to send inappropriate messages in exchange for free things. This revelation has left her petrified for her family’s safety.
The nurse was only made aware of this bizarre trend when an UberEats delivery was dropped off at their doorstep, despite no one in the family ordering it. After investigating, Giunta found her daughter talking to a stranger who was asking her to say and do inappropriate things in exchange for gifts.
Giunta reported the incident to the police, as the stranger now had their address. She shared her experience to bring awareness to the situation and warn other parents to be vigilant, especially if their teenagers have access to social media.
She emphasized the need for parents to go through their children’s phones, educate them about online safety, and ensure their safety in the face of such disturbing online behavior.
